Which browsers do you support and which screen resolutions?
BusyBeeManager is optimized for Safari 5, Internet Explorer 9.0, Firefox 12 and Chrome 19 but is usable in most popular desktop browsers. BusyBeeManager is optimised for use in 1280*1024 and 1024*768. Larger resolutions are fine too. The app renders beautifully on iPad and iPhone though some controls may be a bit more difficult to use – i.e. sliders.
How does the free sign up work?
You won’t need your credit card for signing up for the free plan. If on the other hand you’d like to use some of the features that we have limited on the Free Plan then you still sign up as normal and then simply click upgrade and follow the instructions. You will need a PayPal account to sign up for the subscription – so if you don’t have one already then you’ll need to create one.
Can any employee with a login edit the schedules?
No – In BusyBeeManager every employee can be sent login credentials if you choose to do so from the Employee page. This allows them to see a monthly dashboard with their own shifts. They can also see the whole schedule and update their availability which is a great potential help for you. You can also decide to check the button to turn them into Admins thus allowing them to help out with the scheduling. If you don’t send login credentials to the employee then you can still email the employees’ their personal shifts by using the publish feature on the schedules page.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes sure, and it’s really simple. Just click on Upgrade when you are signed in and you’ll see your options. When switching between plans we will bill you for a month of the new subscription type immediately. You will need a PayPal account to sign up for the paid subscription – so if you don’t have one already then you’ll need to create one.
What types of payment do you accept? Will you take a P.O.? Can you invoice us?
We receive payments through PayPal only. This is to keep our costs low and make it possible for us to spend time improving the application and adding new features / improving existing ones, instead of worrying about billing.
Is this a long-term commitment? Can I make advance payment for a year?
BusyBeeManager is a pay-as-you-go service. Therefore, you are not bound by any long term contracts or commitments. On cancellation of payments to a BusyBeeManger account, you’ll only be billed for the current month, and not anymore later. However, advance payment for a year is beyond our terms and thus cannot be made. In case of cancellation we will downgrade your account to the free plan and hope you will return later to a paying plan once again.
I forgot the URL for my account – how do I get it back?
Your URL is something like: http://youraccountname.busybeehq.com – where “youraccountname” is the name of your account. If you still can’t remember you either search through your emails to find the mail we sent you when you created the account – or you click “Login” and request that we resend you the URL via email. From this login screen you can request to have your password resent. This will also work for any employees who have been given a login.
How does cancellation work?
If you have created a paid subscription through PayPal for the Plus or the Basic plan then you cancel these payments from PayPal. Upon doing that we automatically downgrade your plan to the free plan – that way you will still be able to login and use the free functionality of BusyBeeManager. You can then later choose to upgrade if you wish to do so again. However, you are payable for charges already incurred until your cancellation and no refunds can be issued. Nor do we prorate for partial months. If you really want to delete your account you can do so from the bottom of the Upgrade page within the application.
I still have a few questions which are not answered here. How do I ask?
If you have questions about the functionality of BusyBeeManager we encourage you to watch the videos in our Youtube channel. We plan to build a more thorough FAQ when we have found out which questions are in fact frequently asked.
Till then feel free to send us your questions at email@example.com. That will give us a chance to help you and you will help us gathering feedback about potential bugs and issues. We will get back to you soon.
